Hero in Time of Chaos

Lorenzo Maldini, a down-on-his-luck modern guy, gets electrocuted by a VR headset and wakes up in the turbulent early Republic era—now trapped in the body of a notorious gambler facing impossible debts. Forced to pawn his wife and with his mother's blade at his throat, he's granted a second chance when bound to the shock value system, gaining supernatural abilities like the truth-seer's eye and telekinesis. Using his powers to hunt and trade, Lorenzo slowly wins his family's trust—until he draws the attention of Daniel Hopkins, a ruthless horseman. In a explosive showdown, Lorenzo exchanges shock points for a bulletproof vest and a gatling gun, wiping out the threat and claiming the bandits' entire arsenal for his rise to power.
