Guarding Her Soul

Victoria Hale inherits her family conglomerate after her father's death and immediately faces brake failure, arson, and stalking. Retired special-forces operative Sloane Marlowe is hired as her bodyguard. Repeated life-or-death attacks turn professional distance into love while cousin Diana engineers assassinations and an arranged marriage to seize the company. After Sloane rescues Victoria from a kidnapping and opens her heart, Victoria rejects the marriage at a shareholders' meeting, exposes Diana's crimes, and publicly chooses Sloane as her partner.
