White Wolf Rising

Aria, a werewolf maiden of the North, fails to transform during her coming-of-age awakening ceremony and is branded "Wolf-less." Her fiancé, Kael, publicly breaks off their engagement to pursue Lyra—a candidate for the role of Luna—while the Council of Elders moves to exile her from the pack. Determined to preserve her dignity, Aria demands a Trial, only to be hunted down on a snowy night by assassins sent by Lyra. At the brink of death, the dormant bloodline of the White Wolf within her finally awakens. Rescued by an exiled hunter, Aria assumes a new identity and enrolls in White Fang Academy, starting over from the lowest tier. She fights back against every humiliation and act of sabotage, eventually stepping into the arena for the Alpha Trial to defeat both Lyra and Kael. No longer content to be a Luna chosen by another, she resolves to become the White Wolf Queen and reclaim the North.
